Ansell is looking for Sr Manager, Regional Product Portfolio (Mechanical) based in Cyberjaya.
This role will be responsible for all brand and product management activities, including activating programs and identifying growth opportunities, drives competitive differentiation and owns the regional view of the global product portfolio, differentiation and claims. You will work closely with the Global Category Management (GCM) team, regulatory team and regional marketing & sales teams to coordinate the execution of product portfolio management initiatives (e.g. product pricing, NPD introduction, competitor market intel, changes, rationalization, promotional activities and regional claims) and supports the implementation of category management programs into their region with the aim to maximize synergies and to optimize the results of each category in both the customer and the Ansell’s perspective.

What your role will be in details?

You will be responsible for the Specific Category: Mechanical portfolio in APAC, including gloves & sleeves for all key customers segments / verticals:

Business/Marketing strategy and planning

  • Based on Customer understanding, industry knowledge, market insights and strong collaboration with customer-facing teams (Sales), develop product strategy, including product positioning, lifecycle management and activities to increase sales and/ or profitability and growth plans according to changing market needs and competitors' developments.
  • Price strategy assessment and price recommendation to develop regional price lists and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) for product success.
  • Lead regional portfolio and price positioning recommendation and identify cost improvements needs based on market positioning
  • Ensure understanding on demand changes and LRP trends and liaise with global team for supply needs update
  • Monitor sales and field reports, pricing levels and competition within the region and works in conjunction with regional stakeholders, with
  • Regional Marketing team, to deliver agreed levels of revenue, margins, and overall market share.

Operational Performance

  • Work with regional team to provide data needed for tender submissions or product changes updates.
  • Ensure continuous alignment and improvement with legal, regulatory teams regarding safety law/ changes in markets that generate product changes and ensure any product quality or other product related issue is swiftly
  • Strong liaison with supply organisation to drive improvement in forecasting and cost, actively participate in Regional Sales and Operations Planning and forecasting efforts.
  • Set up and maintenance of product and collateral in sample warehouse & administration software including MDM/PDH SAP and Oracle systems.

Customer/Market Insights/Training

  • Primary point of contact within the region and subject matter expert for all product related matters, providing support and education for all stakeholders, Product training / Onboarding of new Sales team members
  • Specify and oversee the data/research needed to determine the needs of customers (or contributing to Global research).
    Spend time with regional sales teams conducting product trials capturing “voice of customer”, use market research to nurture category strategy and pipeline
  • Support the Mechanical Innovation roadmap to ensure we stay ahead of the Competitve set
  • Remain strongly connected to customer-facing organization to ensure speed and depth of insight sharing resulting in solutions which are fit for market needs.

Product rejuvenation and Innovation related activities

  • Work with Global team to align on an innovation and product rejuvenation pipeline
  • Accountable for successful market commercialization of innovation, renovation and portfolio optimization initiatives, including sales team and distributor engagement
  • Ensure successful and on time product launches and product changes introduction.
  • Be the voice of the customer – identify and highlight the underserved and unmet needs of customers and new product opportunities to drive profitable growth.
  • Help the Company achieve the sustainability and social impact goals via product design, innovation and commercial programs.

What you will bring?

  • 5 years of experience in Sales and Marketing or Business Development or in a Product Management role
  • Experience in leading or coordinating cross-functional teams and in working in a matrix organization
  • Project Management experience is desirable
  • PPE or Hand protection experience desirable
  • Business acumen and entrepreneurial spirit
  • Strong financial and budget management skills
