Job Description

  1. The responsibility to produce and deliver daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly and year end valuations to the client in a timely manner and in accordance with any regulatory rules.
  2. To ensure all daily Transaction Reporting tasks / controls are completed in line with the departmental PRIMA maps and procedures.
  3. Proactively identify and deliver improvements to the client valuation reporting processes and controls framework.
  4. To continue to develop product / market knowledge to ensure daily processes are appropriate and minimise operational risk.
  5. Responsibility for the client transactions to be valued in accordance with the standards outlined in standing orders (policy papers).
  6. Daily contact with external & internal clients as well as frequent interaction with sales & marketing team.
  7. To establish and document client valuations procedures and PRIMA maps in accordance with BCS guidelines and RBC policies.
  8. Ensure all reports are distributed in a manner that adheres to all client data protection policies and includes appropriate disclosures and disclaimers.
  9. Perform portfolio reconciliation with clients allowing them to be compliant with their obligations under the Dodd Frank and EMIR regulatory framework.

The Successful Applicant

  1. Quantitative, Finance and/or Economics degree.
  2. The role requires familiarity and understanding of Derivative products. It does not require quantitative product pricing knowledge, but the ideal candidate should have the aptitude/ability to learn & understand complex valuations.
  3. Requires attention to detail and accuracy. Gaps in this can cause significant reputational risk hence loss of business.
  4. Strong IT skills (incl. Python & Visual Basic for Excel).
  5. The ability to perform analysis of business processes and implement change as appropriate.
