Special Need Teacher

Best Buddy Therapy Centre is a pediatric therapy center that aims to provide quality speech therapy (ST), occupational therapy (OT), and early intervention programs (EIP) to children with special needs. Qualifications & Experience

• At least Diploma/Degree in Special Education/Education/Psychology/Early Childhood or relevant qualification
• At least 1 year of experience (Fresh graduates are welcome to apply)
• Sound knowledge of different learning disabilities (e.g., Autism, ADHD, GDD, etc.)
• Dedication to working with students with special needs, responsible, open-minded to feedback, and willingness to learn
• Able to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team

Tasks & Responsibilities

• Conduct assessments, develop, and implement individualized education plans (IEP) for students with special needs, for small groups
• Prepare activities, teaching materials, and lesson plans
• Monitor and document students' learning progress
• Conduct parent meetings, regular communication, and updates with parents regarding the students' learning progress
• Collaborate with other professionals such as speech therapists, occupational therapists, school teachers, etc. to address students' learning challenges and implement effective intervention strategies
• Stay abreast of current research and evidence-based practices in the field of special education, participate in professional development training, and incorporate the knowledge into instructional strategies in the classroom
