Heritage Hotel Cameron Highlands – Cameron Highlands, Pahang

We are seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join our team at the Heritage Hotel Cameron Highlands. As a Sous Chef, you will play a crucial role in supporting our Head Chef, ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our kitchen. This is a full-time position located in the beautiful Cameron Highlands, Pahang.

What you'll be doing

• Assisting the Head Chef in managing and leading the kitchen team
• Overseeing the preparation and presentation of all menu items
• Monitoring food quality, portion control, and costs
• Developing and implementing new menu items and recipes
• Ensuring compliance with health, safety, and hygiene regulations
• Providing training and mentorship to junior kitchen staff
• Collaborating with the management team to enhance the guest experience

What we're looking for

• Minimum 3-5 years of experience as a Sous Chef or in a similar role in a high-quality hotel or restaurant
• Strong knowledge of Hospitality & Tourism, specifically in the Chefs/Cooks field
• Excellent culinary skills and a passion for creating exceptional dishes
• Proven ability to lead and motivate a kitchen team
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
• Flexibility to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing needs
