To provide technical leadership in designing scalable, integrated, and secure solutions across Sunway Healthcare’s patient-facing and back-office digital platforms. The Solution Architect ensures that solutions are aligned with business objectives, technology standards, and integration requirements across the Group's diverse hospitals and systems.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Product & Platform Design: Serve as the architectural lead for a multi-facility digital platform that powers patient mobile apps and back-office operations. Guide scalable and modular designs that support multiple hospital systems, with flexibility for local variations.
2. Technical Leadership: Collaborate with the Product Manager, Business Analyst, Application Architect, and Operations to translate business needs into end-to-end technical solutions. Ensure solutions are aligned with digital strategy and long-term platform evolution.
3. System Integration: Architect robust and maintainable integrations with hospital systems such as HIS, LIS, RIS, and Queue Management. Ensure data flows are secure, consistent, and traceable.
4. Non-Functional Excellence: Own the non-functional aspects of the solution, including performance, reliability, security, scalability, and maintainability. Translate these into architectural decisions and vendor expectations.
5. Governance & Oversight: Establish and maintain architectural standards and technical guidelines for the platform. Ensure documentation, knowledge sharing, and reusability across the development track.
6. Problem Solving & Escalation: Act as an escalation point for complex architectural and integration issues. Support root cause analysis and help drive the resolution of systemic problems.
7. Stay ahead of emerging trends in digital health, mobile app development, and healthcare system integration. Propose enhancements to make the platform more future-ready and patient-centric.

Skills & Qualifications

Minimum of 8-10 years of experience in software architecture, solution design, or technical leadership roles.

Proven experience designing and delivering scalable web and mobile platforms across complex environments.

Hands-on knowledge of Microsoft .NET MVC, C#, React Native, MySQL, and modern front-end technologies (HTML5, Bootstrap, jQuery).

Strong experience in designing and reviewing RESTful APIs and JSON-based integrations.

Deep understanding of cloud infrastructure and application hosting (e.g. Azure, AWS), including cost optimization, availability zones, and security models.

Practical experience translating non-functional requirements into architecture decisions — especially performance, security, and scalability.

Strong grasp of software development lifecycle (SDLC), DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and agile methodologies.

Skilled in analyzing vendor estimates and development complexity — able to challenge constructively based on architecture rationale.

Exposure to enterprise healthcare systems such as HIS, LIS, RIS, or appointment systems is a plus.

Familiarity with architectural patterns such as modular monolith, layered architecture, and microservices (even if not implemented fully).

Experience with architectural documentation tools (e.g. Lucidchart, Draw.io, or enterprise modeling tools).

Excellent communication skills — effectively engaging technical teams and business stakeholders.

High ownership mindset with the ability to lead through influence rather than control.
