Solution Architect

Description

Mission statement:

The Solutions Architect and Design is responsible for the overall design of the application (SCADA, DMS, EMS, ETRM, APM, EAM) and mapping the business requirements to systems/technical requirements. The Solutions Architect works as a team member along with the Commercial Operations teams, Project Manager, Practice Leads, and Product Managers and Product Owners to deliver the complete solution for the customer.

Your responsibilities:

• You will design and lead the implementation of an architecture based on business requirements and IT/OT strategies, as well as rectify gaps and pain points within the current state, contribute to the development of software and data delivery platforms with reusable components that can be orchestrated together into different methods for different businesses.
• You will collaborate with stakeholders, including business leaders, development teams, and IT/OT Operations, to gather requirements, describe software product features, and technical designs.
• You will provide guidance on the application of emerging technologies and associated practices to improve IT/OT efficiency and effectiveness, ensuring the adoption of industry best practices.
• You will work closely with project management to ensure alignment of plans with what is being delivered, identify issues, and propose solutions.
• You will develop comprehensive documentation for the architecture and system design, enabling the application's future scalability and maintenance, and conduct system analysis, including risk and reliability analysis, to ensure the architecture is robust and secure.
• You will provide technical leadership and mentoring to software development teams, ensuring they adhere to determined software quality standards. You will lead post-implementation reviews and feedback loops to continuously refine and enhance solution offerings, fostering a culture of innovation and continuous improvement within the team.
• You will champion the value proposition of our solutions through compelling presentations, demonstrations, and discussions with key stakeholders, decision-makers, and technical teams within the client organization.

Your background:

• You hold a bachelor's or master's degree in computer science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.
• 8+ years of experience in solution architecture, with a strong focus on asset management solutions in the energy sector, including expertise in SCADA, DMS, EMS, and MMS.
• Proven track record of designing and implementing large-scale, complex solutions in asset-intensive industries.
• Exceptional communication and client-facing skills, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical audiences.
• Strong leadership skills, with experience mentoring and guiding technical teams.
• Fluent English, both written and spoken.
