Software Tester

Job Responsibilities

1. Analyze requirements and design test scenarios and cases based on functional and business requirements.
2. Execute test cases (manual/automation) to validate application functionality, usability, and performance.
3. Identify, document, and report defects in a clear and concise manner using tools like JIRA or Bugzilla.
4. Collaborate with developers and business analysts to resolve issues.
5. Apply banking domain knowledge to test applications like payment systems, loan processing, account management, or regulatory compliance tools.
6. Ensure test coverage for domain-specific functionalities such as transaction processing, interest calculations, and security validations.
7. Participate in all phases of testing: Smoke, Functional, Integration, System, Regression, and User Acceptance Testing (UAT).
8. Maintain and update test documentation, including test plans, test cases, and test execution reports.
9. Develop or execute automated test scripts using tools like Selenium, Postman, or similar tools, if applicable.
10. Work closely with cross-functional teams to understand product functionality and business requirements.
11. Assist in verifying test environments and ensure test data integrity.
