As a Software Quality Analyst, you will be responsible for manual and automated testing of MOSES or MAXSURF offshore engineering software including preparing validation (benchmark) studies in cooperation with the developers and/or product managers.
Responsibilities
Owning the entire test lifecycle for assigned features/feature areas.
Writing & executing high quality test plans and test cases based on both technical design and customer use cases that ensure the product meets functional, usability and performance requirements.
Creating bug reports, ensuring accurate reproduction/root-cause analysis, and collaboration with Development on fixes.
Providing accurate time and effort estimates.
Participation in test framework development and creation/maintenance of test automation.
Research into new testing best practices as well as quality/compliance standards.
Collaboration with Product Managers/Architects, Developers, and Project Managers as well as peers in the test organization.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
BS or MS in Naval Architecture, Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering or Physics from a reputed local/international institute with 1-2 years of experience in offshore industry.
The ideal candidate has good knowledge of offshore wind turbines.
Working knowledge of engineering and finite element analysis programs like: SACS, STAAD, SAP, STRUDL, ANSYS, ABAQUS or NASTRAN, is preferable.
Experience with numerical computing programs like MathCAD, MATLAB etc. is desired.
Familiarity with offshore design codes e.g. API, DnV/Norsok, AISC and/or Euro codes.
Any programming experience and knowledge of Software Quality Assurance practices would be an added advantage.
Excellent communication, organizational, technical analysis, and problem-solving skills.
Team-player with strong collaboration skills.
Familiarity with Agile development processes.
A self-directed learner who is adaptable and detail oriented.
Ability to assess and isolate problems leading to root cause.
