We are looking for a Software Engineer - Data Analytics to join our team. In this role, you will participate in software design, development, and sustenance for Cohu Malaysia (MY) and Philippines (PH) operations, including but not limited to manufacturing, supply chain, and project planning.

Impact You Will Make

• Develop software solutions to fulfill operation needs, focusing on process improvement and automation.
• Continuously sustain and enhance existing software projects. Provide timely support to troubleshoot and resolve reported software issues/bugs.
• Collect and understand process requirements from operations stakeholders and translate the requirements into part of software design, feature, and usability as needed.
• Collect and understand data analysis requirements from operations stakeholders and translate the requirements into data analysis, visualizations, or reporting as needed.
• Construct needed data queries, visualizations, and reporting in OAC. If OAC cannot be used, the immediate data analysis requirements can be fulfilled using other methods such as Power BI, Excel macro, etc.
• Support validation and drive mid/long-term improvements for OAC.
• Drive automation of routine data collection and develop reporting processes.
• Translate data into meaningful information in order to drive decision-making, process improvement, and uncover performance improvement opportunities.
• Analyze results, and provide conclusions, ideas, and guidance based on analysis.
• Any other ad-hoc assignment according to business needs.

Our Ideal Candidate

• Education: Minimum with Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• Technical Skills/ Requirements:
  • Experience in developing solutions using C#, ASP.NET, VBA, etc.
  • Good knowledge of OOP, design patterns, and SQL.
  • Good knowledge of development tools/IDE such as Visual Studio.
  • Experience in web development will be highly desirable.
  • Experience in Power BI, DAX, and data modeling.
  • Experience in creating and coordinating technical and business requirements for processes, projects, or procedures.
  • Strong analytical skills, with ability to drive quantitative analysis and develop metrics.
  • Ability to perform statistical modeling/analysis in Excel and other modeling programs.
  • Ability to develop process maps and document findings.
  • Ability to create quantitative evaluative models.
  • Detail-oriented, dependable, and trustworthy.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced and deadline-driven environment.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and problem-solving skills are required as well as demonstrated ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams.
