Software Engineer

Neptrix is a fast-growing and exciting startup company. We are hiring a Software Engineer who is enthusiastic about coding and can communicate his or her ideas clearly.

What do you do at Neptrix?

• Participate in the SCRUM processes.
• Interact with stakeholders to understand requirements and resolve problems.
• Develop and implement web solutions within the given time limit.
• Diagnose and resolve software issues.
• Able to understand and communicate in English. Other languages like Mandarin are a plus. Some of our stakeholders are Mandarin speaking.
• Proficient with programming in the following skillsets:
• Excellent analytical and critical thinking skills.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply. Those with working experience would have an added advantage.
• Having a hobby project is a strong advantage.
• Willing to travel/relocate to Penang.

Technical Skills:

• Proficiency in Agile or Scrum development methodologies.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and data structures.
• Familiar with Git version control systems.
• Familiar with web development technologies (HTML/CSS/JS).
• Familiar with relational databases (MySQL, MSSQL).
• Knowledge in Artificial Intelligence (AI) or Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT) is a plus.

Soft Skills:

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• A collaborative mindset, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
