Software Engineer

Map Information Systems Sdn.Bhd is a locally incorporated Malaysian company which supports a diverse range of industries and organizations with specialized geo-spatial information services and rigorous spatial solutions. Our IT department is looking for a system support/software engineer.

Job Summary

Your main role is to be responsible for developing, maintaining, and supporting our location-based systems.

Your role will make a huge impact in the following:

• You will be involved in full lifecycle software development.
• You will be programming well-designed, testable, efficient codes.
• You will be troubleshooting, debugging, and testing systems.
• You will be providing systems support to ensure the smooth running of the system.
• You will be responsible for deploying and documenting programs and evaluating user feedback to enhance the systems.

To succeed in this role, we will need you to have:

• Possess at least a Diploma/Degree in Computer Science/Information Technology or related disciplines.
• Minimum two (2) years of experience in IT/Software Engineering. For junior roles, the salary range will depend on the candidate’s experience.
• Candidate must have set up or installed applications from their previous experience.
• Knowledge or experience in Telecommunications Fibre Optic Network Infrastructure is an added advantage.
• Able to write and communicate in English and Bahasa Malaysia, as the role requires liaising with international customers. Mandarin is an added advantage.
• Exceptional skills in algorithms and data structures are an advantage.
• Applicants must be Malaysian citizens.
• Fresh graduates are welcome to apply - preferably Entry Level specialized in IT/Computer/Software or equivalent.
