Role Description

This is a contract role for a Software Engineer at Universiti Tun Hussein Onn Malaysia. As a Software Engineer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and implementing a mobile and web-based solution that monitors and streamlines Non-Destructive Testing workflows. You will collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to create a user-friendly, efficient, and reliable software solution tailored to the needs of the NDT industry.

This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a dynamic environment, is eager to learn about non-destructive testing, and has a strong background in mobile and web development.

Qualifications

1. Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, or a related field.
2. Proven experience in programming mobile applications (PHP, iOS, Android, or cross-platform frameworks).
3. Strong proficiency in programming languages such as PHP, Java, Swift, Kotlin, or Flutter.
4. Back-End Web Development and Programming expertise.
5. Familiarity with software development tools and methodologies (e.g., Agile, Git, CI/CD).
6. Willingness to learn about Non-Destructive Testing and its applications.
7. Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
8. Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
9. Strong documentation skills.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Design, develop, and deploy a mobile and web-based solution for non-destructive testing work monitoring.
2. Collaborate with project stakeholders to understand requirements and deliver a solution that meets industry standards.
3. Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
4. Troubleshoot, debug, and optimize application performance.
5. Stay updated on emerging technologies and integrate them into the project where applicable.
6. Provide technical documentation and support throughout the project lifecycle.
