A Social Media Manager is tasked with several key duties, such as:
Using social media marketing tools to create and maintain the company’s brand
Working with marketing professionals to develop social media marketing campaigns
Creating and curating content that engages the target audience, including text, images, videos, and graphics
Managing the social media calendar: Owning the social media content calendar
Engaging with the online community and following online conversations
Interacting with customers and other stakeholders via the company’s social media accounts
Managing, executing and reviewing company’s media plan with media agency.
Analyzing the company’s digital marketing plan and social media strategy and identifying strategic weaknesses and making recommendations for improvements
Researching social media trends and informing management of changes that are relevant to the company’s marketing activities
Budget Management: Plan and track expenses to ensure effectiveness and efficiency
Setting key performance indicators (KPIs) for social media campaigns, such as targets for a certain number of shares or likes and measuring a campaign’s performance against the KPIs
Requirements:
Education: A bachelor's degree in digital marketing or a related field
Experience: At least 5 years of relevant work experience as a social media manager
Technical skills: Proficiency in content management, Google Analytics, Meta Manager and other relevant tools.
Communication skills: Excellent verbal communication skills, and the ability to respond to comments in a timely and professional manner
Creativity: The ability to create content, campaigns, and visual storytelling that captivates an audience
SEO knowledge: A solid understanding of SEO and keyword research, and how to increase a brand's search engine visibility
Social media optimization: The ability to understand how social media platforms work so you can expand the reach of your content
Soft Skills: The ability to work well with others, use your initiative, and adapt to changing trends
Time Management: Ability to plan, anticipate and execute on time.
