SITE TECHNICIAN (BUILDING)

Person in charge and responsible for providing technical support and assistance to construction project teams to ensure the efficient and effective execution of on-site activities. This role involves conducting inspections, troubleshooting technical issues, and coordinating with various stakeholders to resolve site-related challenges promptly.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Conduct routine inspections of construction sites to assess the quality of workmanship, compliance with specifications, and adherence to safety regulations.
2. Identify and report any technical issues or deficiencies observed during site inspections, collaborating with project teams to implement corrective actions.
3. Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of construction systems and equipment, including but not limited to electrical, mechanical, and plumbing systems.
4. Perform diagnostic tests and troubleshooting procedures to identify and resolve technical problems encountered on-site, ensuring minimal disruption to project timelines.
5. Provide technical guidance and support to site personnel on the proper use of equipment, tools, and materials, promoting a culture of safety and quality excellence.
6. Maintain accurate records of site activities, including inspection reports, equipment maintenance logs, and incident documentation, in compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
7. Coordinate with external vendors, subcontractors, and suppliers to procure technical resources and materials required for on-site operations, ensuring timely delivery and quality assurance.
8. Assist in the implementation of environmental sustainability initiatives and energy efficiency measures on construction sites, in alignment with company goals and industry best practices.
9. Participate in project site meetings and contribute technical expertise to decision-making processes, offering recommendations for process improvements and cost-saving opportunities.
10. Stay updated on emerging technologies, industry trends, and regulatory changes relevant to construction site operations, proactively sharing knowledge and insights with colleagues.
11. Adhere to the Quality Assurance standards set as defined in the Company’s Quality Management System.
12. Any other duties as and when assigned from time to time by the manager / management.

QUALIFICATION AND EXPERIENCE:

1. Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role within the construction industry.
2. Technical certification from a vocational school or equivalent training program preferred.
3. Proficiency in construction processes, materials, and safety regulations.
4. Strong problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot complex systems and equipment.
