SITE SAFETY SUPERVISOR (Labuan)

Responsibilities

• Supervises day-to-day activities within a particular construction workplace
• Ensures that workers make use of necessary protective equipment
• Investigates accidents and tackles their causes
• Takes note of workers’ safety concerns and immediately acts on them
• Arranges training programs on safety measures within the workplace
• Develops plans for emergency procedures with the consent of the manager(s) of the workplace
• Receives and acts on reports regarding safety concerns from workers within the construction site/workplace
• Introduces measures that will help curb accidents within the workplace
• Conducts toolbox training and other relevant safety issues

Requirements

• Minimum 3–5 years’ working experience preferably from a building and construction industry in a similar position
• Must be yellow book holder (for safety supervisor)
• Willing to work at Project Site - Labuan, WP
• Advantage is able to start work immediately or with 1 month notice
• Possess Diploma/Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health qualification
• Must possess relevant certified competency certificate endorsed by NIOSH
• Must be fully conversant with various government legislation that relates to safety work practices at project sites
