Site Safety Supervisor (Hextar Mitai Sdn Bhd)

Contract: Less than 6 months

Location: Genting Pahang

Job Description

1. To lead the Environment, Health & Safety (EHS) within the Project Organization.
2. Continuously improve the level of occupational safety & health.
3. Create an effective & systematic safety management system at the workplace.
4. Ensuring compliance with all regulatory requirements for all sites in Malaysia.
5. Advise the employer, EHS Committee Chairperson, or any person in charge of the workplace on measures to be taken in the interest of safety.
6. Investigate any accident, near miss accident, dangerous occurrence, occupational poisoning, or occupational disease.
7. Assist the EHS Committee in any inspection of the place of work.
8. Collect, analyze, and maintain any statistics on the occurrence of accidents/disease.
9. Submission of SHO monthly report as per requirement of the OSHA regulations.
10. Participate in the review of site facility layouts, designs, modifications in regard to life safety requirements, applicable codes, regulations, and equipment/tool EHS requirements.
11. Develop, plan, and implement site environmental, health, and safety procedures/programs and ensure alignment with Company's EHS Policies, goals, objectives, and customer requirements.
12. Ensure appropriate corrective action is taken where environmental, health, and safety hazards exist.
13. Submit accurate regulatory and performance metric reports as required.
14. Any other responsibilities assigned by Management.

Minimum Requirements:

1. Valid Green book holder registered with the Malaysia Department of Occupational Safety & Health (DOSH) as Safety & Health Officer (SHO).
2. Minimum 3 years working experience in a similar field.
3. Required languages: English, Bahasa Malaysia.
4. Good communication and analytical skills.
5. Proactive self-starter with an analytical mind and problem-solving skills.
6. Able to liaise with all levels of people.
7. Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
