To conduct safety toolbox/pre-task toolbox talk daily at the work site.
Conduct tools and machinery inspections.
Site inspection including room on station (weekly report).
To conduct the monthly inspection for machinery, power tools, firefighting equipment, workers' PPE, CIDB, etc.
Conduct daily check for pre-task toolbox form/PTW each team works to ensure they comply.
To monitor and supervise all high-risk activities such as lifting, working at height, hot work, and working with works train all the time.
To promote the safe conduct of work generally within the work site.
To rectify any unsafe place of work.
To correct any unsafe practice.
Prepare weekly safety site reports and submit to all relevant parties.
To conduct toolbox meetings, inspect worksite hazards, and prepare risk assessments.
Liaise with JKKP/DOSH and authorized departments (e.g., Bomba, Jabatan Kesihatan, CIDB, etc.) to maintain company progressive safety standards and requirements.
Prepare monthly Safety Audit Report to the management.
Communicate, coach, and assist the field staff to ensure that all safety expectations are understood and met.
Coordinate a regular meeting with the project safety team to review issues, trends, and upcoming conditions or events.
Applicants must be willing to travel or relocate.
Perform any other tasks as deemed fit and necessary by Management.
Requirements:
Candidate must be well versed with the Occupational Health & Safety Act.
A registered Safety & Health Officer with DOSH/NIOSH/JKKP.
Good problem-solving skills, as he or she must tackle and resolve issues that may arise during the construction process.
At least two (2) years’ experience in Occupational Safety & Health in the construction industry.
Required language(s): Bahasa Malaysia, English.
Excellent communication skills, writing skills, computer literate, and able to work under minimum supervision.
Possess yellow book registered with DOSH.
