Site Safety Supervisor

Job Description

1. Explain, apply, and enforce policies based on the DOSH requirements OSHA 1994, FMA 1967, Environmental Quality Act 1974, and Environmental Quality (Schedule wastes) Reg 2005 at the plant to prevent Lost of Time Injuries (LTI) and any other asset damage.
2. Assist in preparing and reporting overall injuries and accidents at the plant and recommend corrective and preventive actions through effective health and safety measures to minimize or overcome these incidents.
3. Supervise safety matters and regularly monitor compliance of safety practices at the plant, problem-solving, analyze complex situations, and investigate accidents or incidents.
4. Ensure that all equipment adheres to safety requirements and that necessary tools for effective accident control are available. Engage with the workplace to raise awareness of health and safety through various means such as safety campaigns and educational initiatives.
5. Ensure relevant parties understand and regularly practice safety, health, and environment procedures at the workplace and make changes to working practices that are safe and comply with legislation.
6. Implement regular updates on DOSH and DOE requirements and lead in briefing contractors on safety and health requirements as part of orientation.
7. Perform any other tasks and assignments as directed by management from time to time.

Qualifications

1. Must have a valid yellow book.
2. This position is based at Lumut, Perak.
3. Able to join immediately.
