Site Safety Supervisor

As a Site Safety Supervisor at Seacera Group Berhad, you will play a critical role in ensuring the health, safety and environmental compliance of our construction projects in Sungai Petani, Kedah. This position is responsible for implementing and monitoring safety procedures to protect our workers, visitors and the surrounding community.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Ensure all safety and health practices adhere to company policies and local government regulations
2. Liaison with the local statutory bodies (DOSH, CIDB, etc.) to ensure ongoing compliance and address relevant issues
3. Prepare detailed reports on occurrences and provide statistical information to upper management as necessary
4. Create and manage reports and checklists required by clients and local authorities
5. Investigating accidents, perilous incidents, and workplace-related diseases
6. Conduct safety training sessions and workshops for employees and subcontractors
7. Develop and update training materials and resources to enhance safety awareness and compliance
8. Conduct regular site inspections to monitor and enforce adherence to safety protocols
9. Work closely with the project team to address site security, health, safety, and cleanliness issues

Requirements:

1. Possess at least Diploma in Engineering (Environmental/Health/Safety) or relevant field
2. With Yellow Book certification and registered with DOSH or equivalent safety qualification
3. Minimum 2 years of experience as a Site Safety Supervisor in the construction industry
4. Familiar with OSHA regulations & requirements
5. Thorough understanding of occupational health and safety regulations, including the Occupational Safety and Health Act (OSHA)
6. Possess problem-solving, decision-making and communication skills
7. Ability to work independently and as part of a team to ensure site safety
8. Commitment to promoting a positive safety culture and continuous improvement
9. Able to base at Sungai Petani, Kedah
