Site Safety Supervisor

China Railway Shanghai Group – Kota Samarahan, Sarawak

As a Site Safety Supervisor at CHINA RAILWAY SHANGHAI GROUP (Malaysia) SDN. BHD., you will play a crucial role in ensuring the health, safety and wellbeing of our construction site in Kota Samarahan, Sarawak. This full-time position requires a strong commitment to upholding the highest safety standards and promoting a culture of safety across the team.

What you'll be doing

• Conducting regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
• Implementing and monitoring safety protocols and procedures to ensure compliance with industry regulations and company policies.
• Providing safety training and guidance to site personnel, promoting safety awareness and best practices.
• Investigating and reporting any incidents or accidents, and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
• Collaborating with project managers and other stakeholders to integrate safety considerations into all aspects of the construction process.
• Maintaining detailed records and documentation related to site safety.
• Staying up-to-date with the latest safety regulations and industry best practices.

What we're looking for

• Relevant experience in a similar site safety role within the construction industry.
• Thorough knowledge of health, safety and environmental regulations, as well as the ability to interpret and apply them effectively.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence site personnel at all levels.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills, with the ability to think proactively and respond quickly to emerging safety concerns.
• Proficiency in using safety monitoring and reporting tools.
• A commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of construction safety.

REQUIREMENTS:

• Must have Yellow Book.
• Applicants must possess at least a Diploma in health and safety or equivalent.
• Minimum 3 years working experience in construction field.
• Fluent speaking and writing in English.
• Working Hours: 8.30am - 6.00pm, rest 1.5 hour (From Monday to Saturday).
