Site Safety Supervisor

SITE SAFETY SUPERVISOR VACANCY (SSS)

Job Responsibilities:

1. Enforce Occupational Safety & Health Act (OSHA) 1994 at all work sites.
2. Conduct safety induction and safety briefing to site personnel (Toolbox Meeting).
3. Ensure site safety compliance through site audits and issue NCR reports for compliance.
4. Liaise with JKKP/DOSH and authorized departments (e.g., Bomba, CIDB, Jabatan Kesihatan) to maintain company progressive safety standards and requirements.
5. Prepare monthly Safety Audit Reports for management.
6. Advise management on changes in safety legislation and all matters pertaining to occupational safety, health, and environmental issues.
7. Determine the cause of any accident or dangerous occurrence and recommend means of preventing recurrence.
8. Keep up-to-date with recommended codes of practice and new safety literature, circulating information applicable to each level of employee.
9. Ensure that all safety equipment is properly maintained, including periodic checking of fire facilities, verifying first aid kits, and ensuring vehicles and equipment are maintained following the appropriate schedule.
10. Carry out necessary HIRARC, Risk Assessment, and Job Safety Analysis (JSA) and ensure all workers adhere to safe work practices.
11. Perform any other duties assigned by the Project Manager / Project Director.

Job Requirements:

1. Candidate must possess a Site Safety Supervisor (SSS) yellow book registered with DOSH/JKKP (Valid).
2. Competent First Aider and Fire Warden will be an added advantage.
3. Knowledge in working at heights and confined spaces.
4. At least 2 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
5. Possess own transport and willing to travel to any project site at any time.
6. Commitment to stay on site.
7. Ability to work independently with minimum supervision, good communication, and coordination skills.
8. Ability to communicate in English and Bahasa Malaysia.
9. Good attitude, positive minded, self-starter, independent, and good team worker.

Work Schedule:

This job has the following work schedule: 6 days / week.
