Responsible for providing and overseeing all aspects of a construction project from planning to completion.
Develop project plans, schedules, and construction budgets to ensure that the project is completed on time and within budget.
Keep track of resources, including labor, equipment, and materials, to ensure that the project is adequately resourced and stays on track.
Contractor management: Selecting and managing contractors, subcontractors, and vendors to ensure that they meet project requirements and timelines.
Compliance: Ensuring compliance with building codes, safety regulations, and other legal requirements.
Quality control: Ensuring that construction work is completed to the required standard of quality and meets the client's expectations.
Risk management: Identifying and managing risks associated with the project, including developing and implementing risk management plans to minimize risk.
Communication: Communicating project progress and updates to stakeholders, including clients, architects, engineers, and construction workers.
Budget management: Managing the project budget, including forecasting and controlling costs to ensure that the project is completed within budget.
Job Requirements:
Must possess at least a Bachelor's Degree in Construction Management, Construction Science, Architecture, Engineering, or a related field. Relevant work experience in the construction industry may also be accepted in lieu of a degree.
Must possess at least 4 to 5 years of Site Management Experience.
Understanding of construction processes, materials, and techniques.
Familiarity with building codes, safety regulations, and quality control procedures.
Project management skills, effective communication, delegation, and problem-solving abilities.
Physically fit enough to inspect job sites, walk around construction sites, and climb ladders or scaffolds for safety inspections. Able to work independently.
Must possess a combination of technical, managerial, and interpersonal skills.
Strong understanding of construction techniques, materials, and processes is important for a construction manager to evaluate and manage projects effectively.
Ability to identify and manage risks associated with construction projects, and develop and implement risk management plans to minimize the impact of potential risks.
Must be able to communicate well in Bahasa Malaysia & English. Ability to communicate in Mandarin will be an added advantage.
