Site Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Monitor site progress on steel structure works and conduct inspections on steel fabrication to ensure all tasks meet specified requirements.
• Participate in the project management cycle, including planning, implementation, leadership, execution, and coordination with related parties on fabrication and steel structure work.
• Attend client and site meetings to provide updates on the progress of steel structure work.
• Actively liaise with suppliers, contractors, and project teams regarding steel structure work.
• Supervise workers involved in fabrication, steel structure work, and the loading/unloading of materials.
• Perform quality assurance and control on steel installation and painting.
• Set up bending and cutting machines for workers.
• Place orders for raw materials.
• Prepare method statements for projects.
• Prepare daily site reports.
• Operate Computer Numerical Control (CNC) machines, including plasma cutters.
• Supervise the fabrication process and inspect subcontractor work.
• Coordinate and execute all quality control (QC) procedures, documentation, and records.
• Establish quality control procedures with inspection deadlines.
• Develop and implement the quality management plan, ensuring project quality meets required standards and specifications.
• Monitor the resolution of quality issues to ensure timely rectification.
• Collaborate with the design team on technical matters and with subcontractors on quality issues.
• Carry out any other tasks assigned by the HOD as required.

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least Diploma or Bachelor's degree in civil engineering or equivalent.
• At least 1 year of working experience in related field is required for this position. Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
• Candidates fluent in Mandarin preferred as job role is required to communicate in Mandarin.
• Able to work independently with good sense of responsibility.
• Self-motivated & possess a positive working attitude.
• Possess own transportation and willing to work at Seksyen 15, Shah Alam.
