Position Summary

Reporting to Sr. Manufacturing Manager of Performance Gases - Belgium, the role is responsible for implementing and maintaining the Company-s safety, health, environmental, and quality policies to ensure compliance with the country-s industry regulations and Company-s standard compliance.

Responsibilities

1. Develop, implement, and monitor HSE policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
2. Conduct risk assessments and site inspections to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
3. Ensure workplace safety by promoting best practices, conducting safety drills, and implementing emergency response procedures.
4. Provide HSE training and awareness programs for employees, contractors, and stakeholders.
5. Respond, investigate, and report accidents, incidents, and near-misses, ensuring implementation of corrective actions.
6. Monitor environmental impact and sustainability initiatives, ensuring compliance with environmental laws and company goals.
7. Maintain accurate records of safety audits, inspections, and compliance activities.
8. Collaborate with management and employees to create a culture of continuous improvement in health and safety standards.
9. Keep updated on industry trends, legislative changes, and best practices related to HSE.

Quality Assurance

1. Develop, implement, and monitor quality policies, procedures, and programs to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
2. Conduct internal and external quality audits to assess compliance and identify areas for improvement.
3. Ensure adherence to quality assurance frameworks, including ISO standards and other industry-specific guidelines.
4. Establish and maintain quality assurance processes, including supplier quality evaluations, process audits, and corrective/preventive actions.
5. Utilize statistical methods and data analysis to monitor quality performance and identify trends for process improvement.
6. Develop and maintain documentation for quality assurance procedures, inspection criteria, and compliance reports.
7. Work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve quality-related issues and implement corrective actions.
8. Provide quality training and awareness programs for employees, contractors, and stakeholders.
9. Monitor industry standards and best practices to ensure compliance with quality assurance protocols.
10. Maintain accurate records of quality audits and compliance activities.
11. Collaborate with management and employees to create a culture of continuous improvement in quality standards.
12. Keep updated on industry trends, legislative changes, and best practices related to quality management.

Quality Control

1. Ensure product and service quality by promoting best practices, conducting quality checks, and implementing improvement initiatives.
2. Conduct quality assessments and audits to identify areas for improvement and recommend corrective actions.
3. Investigate quality issues, customer complaints, and non-conformances, preparing reports and implementing corrective measures.
4. Lead, coordinate, review change management to material, process, product and document.
5. Establish and maintain quality control processes, including raw material inspections, in-process quality checks, and final product verification.
6. Utilize statistical methods and data analysis to monitor quality performance and identify trends for process improvement.
7. Develop and maintain documentation for quality control procedures, inspection criteria, and compliance reports.
8. Work closely with production teams to resolve quality-related issues in a timely manner.
9. Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, certificates, reports and findings.

Experience Requirements

1. Bachelor-s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, Environmental Science, Quality Management, Chemical engineering, or a related field.
2. Minimum 5 years of experience in an HSEQ role, preferably in the medical manufacturing industry.
3. Certification in HSE-related courses (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, ISO, Six Sigma, Lean Management) is an advantage.
4. Strong knowledge of local and international health, safety, environmental and quality regulations.
5. Excellent communication and leadership skills to promote a safety and quality-conscious culture.
6. Ability to conduct training sessions and investigations effectively.

Skill Requirements

1. Proficient in MS Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint and HSE management systems.
2. Experience in using corporate resource planning tool, Microsoft D365 is preferred.
3. Strong problem-solving abilities, detail-oriented, able to work under pressure.
4. Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team in a multi-cultural, regional environment.
5. Proactive approach to risk management and compliance.
