I. RESPONSIBILITIES / PURPOSES OF THE JOB
- To oversee and manage the full Accounts payable (AP), Cash management (CM) and Accounts receivables (AR) activities under Shared Services Centre.
- Assist and review month end close activities such as bank reconciliation, AP/AR reconciliations, intercompany confirmation and other related activities within AP, AR and CM processes.
- Constantly review and drive the standardisation of AP, CM and AR activities to enhance efficiency and productivity of the team.
- To manage the queries from Group Treasury, bankers, external, internal and other local statutory audits/reporting requirements in relation to AP, CM and AR process to ensure compliance with the stipulated timelines and requirements.
II. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES
- Overseeing the completion of all team BAU tasks to ensure all aspects are delivered within SLA/KPI requirements. This also includes allocation of tasks to the team members, maintaining and updating team checklists and ensuring that all tasks are completed within required timeframe and to audit standards.
- Constantly perform review and enhancement of the existing control activities to ensure compliance with the Group’s Key Financial controls in relation to AP, CM and AR.
- Always ensure healthy key reconciliations and constantly highlight findings to SSC FC & Country FD.
- Monitor and manage all stakeholders’ concerns in a timely manner, if any.
- Review and approve bank entries and other journal entries in relation to AP, CM and AR processes.
- Plan and design a development plan for every team member. Conduct regular review of team members’ work and provide constructive feedback, where necessary.
- Assist in the standardisation of accounting procedures/practices within the SSC.
- Involved in any given project.
- Any other ad-hoc tasks as required by the management team.
III. JOB BOUNDARIES AND DECISION-MAKING
- As directed by the Finance Director/ Financial Controller.

- Support the preparation of the budget and forecasts
- Adhere to guidelines/procedures set by Group Financial Accounting
VI. JOB HOLDER’S COMMAND
- The post holder will be responsible for their supervision, training and development.
The ideal candidate will possess:
- Minimum 6 years of relevant working experience (preferably minimum 3 years in audit)
- Qualified Accountant (ACCA/MACPA/ASCPA) or equivalent
- Strong IFRS accounting knowledge and experience
- Strong knowledge and experience in managing AP, AR and CM processes in a large, devolved organisation, preferably within the MNC environment
- Good analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills
- Strong leadership and stakeholder management skills
- Fluent in the financial management of programs and projects
- Excellent spreadsheet and word skills (Microsoft Office and Google)
- Excellent ability to interpret and report financial information
- Excellent ability to learn and use new financial accounting systems
