Responsibilities:

  • Manage reservations and walk-ins, ensuring efficient seating arrangements.
  • Assist guests to their tables and provide them with menus.
  • Provide attentive and courteous service throughout the guest’s visit.
  • Address customer inquiries, requests, and complaints promptly and professionally.
  • Maintain a positive and friendly attitude at all times.
  • Accurately take food and beverage orders from guests.
  • Relay orders to the kitchen and bar staff using the point of sale (POS) system.
  • Offer recommendations and answer questions about menu items, including ingredients and dietary restrictions.
  • Deliver food and drinks to tables in a timely and efficient manner.
  • Ensure that orders are accurate and presented attractively.
  • Refill drinks and check on guests regularly to ensure their needs are met.
  • Process payments, including cash, credit/debit cards, and gift certificates.
  • Ensure that bills are accurate and handle any discrepancies.
  • Provide receipts and return any change to customers.
  • Keep the dining area, bar, and restrooms clean and presentable at all times.
  • Clear and reset tables quickly after guests leave.
  • Follow sanitation and safety guidelines to ensure a clean and safe environment.
  • Communicate effectively with kitchen and bar staff to ensure timely service.
  • Monitor the status of orders and update guests on any delays or issues.
  • Handle special requests and dietary needs, ensuring they are properly communicated to the kitchen.
  • Oversee the reservation system, managing bookings and cancellations.
  • Coordinate the waitlist during busy periods, ensuring guests are informed about wait times.
  • Help coordinate and execute special events, private parties, and group bookings.
  • Ensure that event-specific requirements are met, including seating arrangements and special menus.
  • Report any issues or guest feedback to management.
  • Suggest improvements based on customer feedback and your observations.

Qualifications and Skills:

  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to multitask and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Good organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Knowledge of the menu and ability to make informed recommendations.
  • Experience with POS systems and handling cash/credit transactions.
