Job Description

This Senior Product Designer will join the Indirect team of 2 Product Designers at SEEK to ensure our customers have access to the best possible job posting, apply and profile experiences.
The Indirect Product team is responsible for products used by hirers who access SEEK’s employment marketplace using third-party applicant tracking systems, such as Workday, JobAdder and PageUp. Our hirers are the biggest Corporates, Recruiters and Government departments across Asia Pacific (APAC), so there is significant opportunity for growth.

In response to new strategic focus on the Indirect channel at SEEK and a roadmap full of exciting products, we’re looking for an additional Senior Product Designer to own and drive best practice experience within third-party platform landscapes, advocate for users in business decisions, and influence design experience priorities for continuous uplift across our key Indirect initiatives.

Due to the nature of our products, we collaborate with teams and stakeholders from across the business, including a commercial team dedicated to managing our Partner relationships and integrations, to create innovative solutions for products through your expertise of user research, interaction and functional design, visual design, user validation methods.

You will also play a part in helping us shape out the new Indirect strategy to ensure we’re properly equipped to evolve in response to the changing ATS landscape and realise our vision for the future Indirect user experience.

Key Responsibilities

• Plans and scopes design initiatives aligned with product outcomes and timelines.
• Shapes product direction and roadmap by understanding customer needs, platform capabilities, and industry trends.
• Collaborates with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to solve problems, balance trade-offs, and deliver impactful solutions aligned with user needs, business goals, and technical feasibility.
• Leads end-to-end design efforts, including research, workshopping, prototyping, usability testing, and data analysis, to create innovative solutions for complex challenges.
• Communicates and defends design decisions through compelling storytelling, ensuring alignment with company objectives.
• Leverages and evolves the Design System for consistency across products, creating bespoke components and interaction patterns when necessary.
• Designs inclusive solutions tailored to the cultural and linguistic diversity of the Asia-Pacific audience.
• Keeps abreast of trends in recruitment, user experience, and design to drive innovation.
• Investigates emerging technologies (e.g., AI, personalisation) to enhance platform functionality and user experience.

Qualifications

Essential Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• 5+ years of experience in online or software product design, ideally at a marketplace or SaaS company.
• Familiarity with APIs and designing within integration constraints.
• Ability to define design plans and processes that ensure high-quality outputs within timeframes, balancing risks and trade-offs.
• Skilled in leading design thinking techniques, especially workshop facilitation to guide scope and ideation.
• Proficiency in planning and conducting user research, usability testing, and generating actionable insight reports.
• Proven ability to transform customer insights into beautiful and effortless experiences.
• Expertise in creating polished UI components, ensuring consistency with branding and accessibility standards.
• Strong verbal and written communication and stakeholder management skills to articulate design decisions aligned with user insights and business goals.
• Advanced proficiency in Figma as a primary design tool.

Other Qualifications, Skills and Experience

• Familiarity with research and analytics tools like HotJar, Intercom, and Dovetail.
• Knowledge of collaboration tools such as Jira, Confluence, and Miro.
• Ability to align design decisions with both user and business goals.
• Comfortable working in a fast-paced, iterative environment with shifting priorities.
