Travel Agents/Consultants (Hospitality & Tourism)
The Senior Travel Consultant will be responsible for managing the full spectrum of travel arrangements for corporate clients, providing expert ticketing support and ensuring seamless service delivery. Based on-site at the customer’s office, the consultant will handle ticketing for Free Independent Travelers (FIT) and Group Independent Travelers (GIT), while also managing urgent travel needs through after-office-hours emergency services. The consultant will play a pivotal role in ensuring smooth operations, providing guidance to junior staff, and assisting in verifying ticketing-related financial documents.
Responsibilities
- Ticketing and Fulfillment:
Manage ticketing for both Free Independent Travelers (FIT) and Group Independent Travelers (GIT), ensuring accuracy and timely delivery. - Customer Service:
Serve as the on-site point of contact for clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction and support for all ticketing and travel-related inquiries. - After-Hours Support:
Provide after-office-hours emergency service to address urgent travel needs and assist clients in real-time. - Booking Support:
Offer assistance for internet banking bookings and ensure the smooth processing of payments and tickets. - Team Support:
Guide and mentor junior ticketing agents on ticket issuance processes, ensuring adherence to company standards. Assist in verifying Agency Debit Memos (ADMs) to ensure financial accuracy and resolve any ticketing discrepancies. - Ad-hoc Tasks:
Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor to support the overall efficiency and success of the travel operations.
Requirements
- Candidate must possess at least Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Tourism or any other field.
- A minimum of 5 years of working experience in the travel industry, with proven expertise in international flight bookings.
- Experience working directly with corporate clients or in a customer-facing role is preferred.
- Proficiency in GDS system (Sabre).
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to interact and engage effectively at all levels within the customer’s organization.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to handling complex travel requirements.
- Able to work independently with minimal supervision, while also being part of a larger team environment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, ensuring accurate and timely travel arrangements.
- Additional Requirements:
- Must be available to work on-site at the customer’s office.
- Ability to adapt and respond efficiently to dynamic work environments.

This is a full-time, on-site role, where the consultant will be based at the customer’s office to provide immediate support and ensure operational excellence.
