SENIOR TOOLING DESIGNER

Full Time

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Study and review all product and process for new project.
2. Assign tasks and information to tooling project management for tooling Gantt chart and follow up tooling schedule.
3. View customer new product data and create the DFM and tooling design.
4. Follow the DFM report to create the tooling design with 3D, tooling 2D layout and 2D detail drawing.
5. Discuss with customer for product improvement.
6. Discuss with mold maker, project engineer and process engineer for NPI/ECN tooling design and tooling improvement program.
7. Analyze the FAI report and propose the solution, discuss with mold maker, project engineer and QA for NPI/ECN tooling dimension correction.
8. Update 2D and 3D data for tooling modification and tooling improvement.
9. Issue 2D insert drawing to machine shop and tool maker for the machining process work.
10. Proper filling of documents and ensure upkeep all updated mold drawing.
11. Liaise with supplier for tooling insert and tooling component quotation.
12. Ensure proper housekeeping (5S).

EXPERIENCE & SKILLS:

1. Minimum Diploma in relevant course or minimum 8 years related working experience.
2. Good written and communication skill in Malay and English.
3. Computer literate. Must be excellent in Microsoft Office.
4. Able to understand 2D/3D data.
5. Able to use Unigraphics for mold 2D/3D design.
6. Able to understand mold flow analysis.
7. Liaise with supplier for mold material and component quotation.
8. Able to work independently, good team player and organizational.
9. Able to create tooling 2D and 3D tooling layout.
10. Able to design jig.
11. Analytical and Leadership Qualities.
