Senior Thai Cuisine Chef

We are seeking an experienced and talented Senior Thai Cuisine Chef to join our dynamic team at Vivo Food Sdn Bhd in Johor Bahru, Johor. As a full-time Senior Thai Cuisine Chef, you will be responsible for leading the preparation and execution of exceptional Thai dishes, ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation.

What you'll be doing

1. Oversee the daily operations of the Thai cuisine section, including menu planning, recipe development, and kitchen management
2. Ensure the consistent and authentic preparation of traditional Thai dishes, maintaining the integrity of flavours and presentation
3. Train and mentor junior chefs, sharing your expertise and knowledge to elevate the team's skills
4. Collaborate with the culinary team to develop innovative menu items that showcase your Thai cooking mastery
5. Maintain strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards
6. Actively participate in inventory management, cost control, and budgeting
7. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment within the kitchen

What we're looking for

1. Minimum 5 years of experience as a Senior Thai Cuisine Chef in a reputable restaurant or hotel
2. Formal culinary training or certification in Thai cuisine
3. Exceptional skills in Thai culinary techniques, including the preparation of complex curries, noodle dishes, and specialty Thai ingredients
4. Strong leadership and mentorship abilities to guide and develop the culinary team
5. Excellent time management, multitasking, and problem-solving skills
6. Passion for Thai cuisine and a commitment to maintaining authenticity and quality
7. Positive attitude, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work well in a team
