About the job

The newly created role, Senior Tax Manager will be accountable for coordinating the M&A and transformation projects in Asia zone; to support the implementation of the projects per agreed timetable.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

Tax Advisory and Planning

• Work with HQ and regional M&A teams, geo CBUs to coordinate and execute the M&A transactions in Asia
• Coordinate the impacted DBS Zone service lines for the pre-acquisition/liquidation and post-acquisition/liquidation
• Support the implementation of projects per agreed timetable
• Manage the budget of tax consulting fees in relation to the M&A transactions

Transformation Implementation

• Act as a leading role in DBS Asia for legal entity simplification
• Implement the transformation projects in tax area, including but not limited to new business set-up, disposal of existing legal entities, simplification of the current company holding structures, etc.

System Coordination

• Coordinate the tax system projects within zone tax teams
• Lead the zone related tax system projects

Internal Control / Learning

• Prepare and refresh tax position papers, SOPs to document the work processes
• Support the zone Tax Director and geos tax teams to supervise the internal control procedures for the geos, and provide documentation for DanGo requirement, if needed
• Support DBS Learning & Sharing in related M&A topics and tax topics

External Relationship

• Build the relationship with external auditors and Danone tax consultants

About you

• At least 10-year experience in dedicated tax area, with 5 years in M&A tax expertise
• SAP and strong accounting knowledge is a plus
