Senior & tax account

Shang Agro Trading Sdn Bhd is seeking a highly skilled Tax & Audit Accountant to join our dynamic team in Kuching, Sarawak. As a full-time member of our Accounting department, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring our company's financial compliance and strategic growth.

What you'll be doing

1. Prepare and file accurate and timely tax returns and payments
2. Conduct in-depth tax planning and provide strategic recommendations to optimise the company's tax position
3. Analyse financial data and identify potential tax savings opportunities
4. Advise on tax implications of business decisions and transactions
5. Mentor and train junior members of the accounting team
6. Participate in special projects and ad-hoc tasks as required

What we're looking for

1. A professional accounting qualification (e.g. LCCI, ACCA, CPA) with at least 5 years of post-qualification experience in taxation
2. Extensive knowledge of Malaysian tax, regulations and best practices
3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels
5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team to meet deadlines
6. Proficient in the use of accounting software and Microsoft Office suite
