About the role
As the Senior System Engineer, you will be responsible for assisting and supporting business development activities for prospects within defined customer segments to support the business strategy.
Key Responsibilities:
- Promote the company's values and solutions to all levels from customers.
- Establish prospects and develop professional relationships to understand customer needs and suggest products and/or services that meet those needs.
- Prospect bid opportunities, participate in the preparation of bid responses, and negotiate with potential customers to achieve company goals and targets.
- Create and pursue leads proactively and convert them into orders in a timely manner.
- Provide monthly reports on sales progression to management.
- Responsible for payment collections.
- Develop proactively with existing and new customer contact leads for new opportunities.
- Attend trade shows to increase the visibility of the organization and potentially influence prospects.
- Support equipment selection (chillers, AHU, FCU) based on cost or performance driven.
- Prepare proposal submissions to include equipment selection with performance summary, unit drawings with dimensions, equipment loading points, and project execution draft timeline.
- Prepare project execution activities such as method statements, material submissions for approval, and follow up on approvals from clients.
- Support site activities as Site Engineer and provide weekly project status updates.
- Follow up on delivery schedules and site coordination work with appointed subcontractors.
- Conduct site visits to gather relevant information for modernization proposals and cost preparation.
- Review project expenditures to ensure the accuracy of all invoices/applications for payment in accordance with purchase order and subcontract terms and conditions.
- Update project schedules and prepare project management correspondence and documents effectively on all aspects of the implementation phases, including customer meeting minutes, team assignments/action item tracking, letters, memorandums, transmittals, and RFIs.
- Act as the primary contact with customers, develop professional relationships, and understand customer needs.
- Communicate job schedules to all project team members to ensure timely completion of projects.
- Adjust orders for any changes to the scope for moderate projects.
Requirements:
- 5 years of relevant experience in the HVAC industry.
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
- Ability to work with minimum supervision in a structured environment.
- Good time management skills.
- Willingness to travel for customer engagement.
