In addition to the Structure Repair Engineer (SRE) job responsibilities, the Senior SRE is accountable for guiding and providing technical advice to other engineers in the department, in accordance with Airbus and Regulatory procedures. The Senior SRE will also support the Team Leaders and Head of Repair Solution in people and competencies development as well as the team’s performance evaluation.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist Team Leaders in organising shifts and work planning by taking into consideration the workload, bank holidays, leaves, etc.
• Provide advice on technical matters & processes to the SRE team.
• Support other engineers in the department in achieving all operational objectives and ensure maximum efficiency of the activities in which they are involved in.
• Liaise with the Team Leaders and other Senior SRE on all operational aspects (operational meetings, briefs, etc.).
• Contribute to digital tools developments and improvements for daily operational needs.
• Assist Team Leaders in organising arrival of newcomers (induction, mentoring, training, integration, etc.)
• Assist Team Leaders in organising onsite assistance missions, immersions and on job training.
• Ensure the team’s awareness on all important technical issues and updates.
• Assist Team Leaders in obtaining data and compilation of all operational reports (KPI, productive hours, performance review, etc.).
• Assist Team Leaders in identifying training requirements (technical and soft skill) based on competency management assessments and maintain all records in the database.
• Carry out non-conformity problem-solving where required.
• Contribute to integrate developments, methods, equipment and competencies, through staff coaching, and training, creating team working through leadership, to achieve operational objectives, and ensure maximum efficiency of the activities in which the SRE staffs are involved.
• Assist Team Leaders by contributing to quality / customers / authorities audit and post-audit actions launching and follow-up.
• Assist HO Repair Solution and Team Leaders in any management related matters as required.
• Upkeep and live Airbus Values, Leadership Model and Code of Conduct to be exemplary to others and to promote and increase the awareness of Airbus Values, Leadership Models and Code of Conduct.
• Carry out any other task as directed by the superior.

Background and skills

• Minimum Education: Bachelor of Science in Engineering or equivalent education.
• Minimum Experience: 3 years in the Aircraft Structure Repair domain

Other qualifications, training, experience, knowledge, skills, certifications, legal or professional body authorization:

• Familiarity with the aviation industry.
• Excellent knowledge of Airbus aircraft structures gained through experience.
• Excellent knowledge on all types of structure repairs (cut-out, doublers, blending, repair plates, dress out, oversizing, etc.).
• Consulting, reading and interpretation of Airbus procedures, Airbus manuals, Airbus drawings, and other Airbus documentations.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Skills or Work-style Microsoft Office.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Proficient computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially MS Excel, and G Suite.
• Ability to manage situations in a transnational, multi-cultural environment.
• Ability to work under pressure and with short deadlines.
• Flexible work schedule including weekends and public holidays.
• Excellent negotiation and interpersonal skills.
• Good organisational skills including time management, strategic planning, and report writing.
