Senior Staff Electrical Engineer - PhotoVoltaic (PV) technology

Design and development of new products development activities from conceptual stage to mass production including:

1. Develop systems that combine solar PhotoVoltaic (PV) technology with battery storage solutions to provide a stable and continuous power supply for Outdoor system renewable energy mainly for video Solution integration.
2. Design battery selection, capacity and battery pack configuration to match solar energy and integration requirements.
3. Design the system based on factors eg: lifecycle, efficiency, application and cost requirements.
4. Integrate the system with smart technology to facilitate remote diagnostics and predictive maintenance.
5. Perform electrical verification tests per product specifications and write test reports.
6. Release electrical prints and parts qualification reports.
7. Evaluate complex components and develop the necessary test procedures and fixtures to ensure compliance with the functional specifications.
8. Participate in the testing and evaluations of complex designs to ensure compliance with the functional requirements. Detailed analysis of the results will be reviewed with a higher-level engineer or supervisor. The incumbent is expected to develop the necessary instrumentation skills and learn the standards that are relative to the designs.
9. Participate in feasibility studies, prepare and participate in concept, design and safety reviews.

Basic Requirements:

1. At least a Bachelor in Electrical Engineering or related disciplines.
2. Minimum of 10 years working experience in related fields.
3. Familiar with PhotoVoltaic (PV) hardware and systems and design requirements.
4. Familiar with solar storage battery chemistries, design and energy management requirements.
5. Good analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Able to communicate & present conceptual ideas to technical audiences.
7. Familiar with design guidelines of electrical commodities.
8. Basic knowledge in manufacturing & assembly process & application of design for manufacturing & assembly.
9. Familiarity with schematic & layout design will be an added advantage.
10. Familiar with six sigma methodology or green belt/black belt certification will be an added advantage.
11. Familiar with energy storage and environmental regulations/standards.
