Role
The Pre-Sales Solutions Consultant plays a crucial role in supporting sales efforts by identifying customer needs, designing tailored solutions, and ensuring technical feasibility. This role involves close collaboration with account managers, partners, and customers to provide expert guidance, justify return on investment (ROI), and drive solution adoption. Responsibilities include conducting proof-of-concept (POC) projects, preparing technical proposals, responding to RFPs/RFIs, and continuously enhancing technical expertise. The ideal candidate is proactive in learning new technologies, fostering innovation, and delivering impactful solutions that align with business and customer goals.

The Day-To-Day Activities

  1. Pre-Sales Support: Work closely with account managers and partners to establish and understand customer requirements, identifying appropriate solutions to deliver tailored product and design solutions.
  2. Customer Interaction: Effectively communicate technical answers to customer questions, justifying the return on investment (ROI) of proposed solutions.
  3. Proof of Concept (POC): Identify appropriate strategic POCs with partners and customers, with a path to commercialization (eventual conversion to sales).
  4. Solution Documentation: Prepare comprehensive solution proposals, work with the pricing team, and present to stakeholders for approval and customers.
  5. Technical Expertise: Maintain a solid technical understanding of products, continue to explore and learn new products that best address customers' technical and cost requirements. Continue to learn externally and improve existing products/solutions.
  6. RFP/RFI Responses: Prepare detailed responses to Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and Requests for Information (RFIs) using a consultative approach to make the customer feel confident in purchasing our solution.
  7. Continuous Learning: Stay updated on new skills and product knowledge on a continuous basis to ensure up-to-date expertise in the field. Have a drive to explore and learn new technology, drive team innovation, and creativity to create cutting-edge solutions.

About You
• Education: Degree holder with a minimum of 5-7 years of hands-on working experience in providing Network Technology or Information Technology Services or IT Security related solutions.
• Pre-Sales Experience: Previous experience in pre-sales is highly advantageous.
• Enterprise Sales Experience: Proven experience in building enterprise sales/presales based on product and technology knowledge.
• Excellent PowerPoint skills, Excel (modeling), and Word. Meticulous and detail-oriented, ability to handle market surveys, bids, RFIs, RFPs amongst others.
• Communication Skills and EQ: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English are essential. High sense of EQ, to be able to manage both internal stakeholders and external relationships including partners and customers.
• Learning Agility: Quick learner with the ability to rapidly acquire and apply new knowledge.
• Customer and Partner Focus: Strong ability to understand and address customer needs, partner interests, commercially savvy, and constantly works towards a win-win approach for all parties.
• Strong Team Player: Ability to work and adapt to different interests, behavior, and nature of very diverse external and internal stakeholders. Able to address different viewpoints of various stakeholders, appreciate differences in opinion.
• Ambitious, driven, and have a strong passion for success.
• Willingness to acquire new skills and product knowledge on a continuous basis.
• Ability to work collaboratively within a team and with various stakeholders.
