Job Overview

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to join our team to take on more advanced and complex responsibilities in software development projects. The Senior Software Engineer is responsible for bringing advanced technical expertise, leadership skills, and a deep understanding of software engineering principles to software development projects.

Responsibilities and Duties

• Work with a mix of old and modern technologies to help shape our new developer platform.
• Improve our engineering practices across the organization, identifying, improving, and teaching those practices to more junior developers.
• Contribute to the growth and development of our junior staff while ensuring that we deliver what our customers need through rapid iterative development practices.
• Work closely with our value stream business and technology leads, architecture team, security team, and vendors to agree on solution architecture and design.
• Provide technical expertise and gain domain and product knowledge to bring into design activities, increasing the effectiveness of the team.
• Act as a technical leader within the development practice, mentoring developers and ensuring that platforms and applications are designed and developed appropriately to maintain quality targets.

Requirements

• Experience in NoSQL and Relational Database (MSSQL, MySQL).
• Cloud Platform: MS Azure or similar, with experience in cloud-native and hybrid cloud products.
• Understanding of CI/CD, Azure DevOps, OpenShift, Docker, and Kubernetes.
• Experience developing cloud-native and hybrid cloud products.
• Willingness to work on legacy systems using C#, VB.Net ASP.NET Classic/Core, and Angular.
• Experience with RESTful Web APIs and any API management tool.
• More than 4 years of relevant work experience required for this role.
• Working rights required for this role.
