Senior Software Engineer

Work with Bell Direct, Australian‑based provider of full service and online broking, corporate finance and financial advisory services to private, institutional and corporate clients.

Job Responsibilities:

• Participate in the full software development life cycle, including requirements analysis, design, coding, testing, and deployment.
• Develop, maintain, and improve microservices architecture and messaging systems.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior developers.
• Contribute to Agile ceremonies such as stand-up meetings, backlog grooming, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including product owners, designers, and QA engineers, to ensure high-quality software delivery.
• Continuously improve development processes and standards to ensure best practices are followed.
• Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code.
• Troubleshoot and debug applications.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 7 years of professional software development experience.
• Candidates must have experience with microservice architecture, Unit Testing, Integration Testing, and messaging systems (e.g., Kafka).
• Candidates must be proficient in .Net 6 and above.
• Experience with Agile methodologies, contributing to ceremonies.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Willing to work on Malaysian public holidays.
