Senior Software Engineer

Job Responsibilities

1. Evaluate new technologies to determine appropriateness for integration into a manufacturing execution system.
2. Create pilot projects to determine feasibility and usefulness, considering factors such as:
1. High availability
2. Maintainability
3. Scalability
4. Performance
3. Test these solutions with respect to those factors.
4. Interface with software analysts and engineers in a geographically dispersed environment to evaluate requirements and recommend solutions.
5. Document and communicate findings, recommendations, and solutions.

Qualifications Required

1. Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology or Equivalent.
2. Knowledge of several computer programming languages, such as Java, Python, C#, C++.
3. Experience with relational databases, and familiarity with non-relational databases.
4. Experience in AI.
5. Understanding of DevOps.
6. Experience with containerized applications (Docker, Kubernetes, etc.).
7. Preferable understanding of machine communications protocols.
8. Familiarity with serverless (Cloud) programming.
