ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY

Senior SEO Specialists work with Account teams, Creative teams, and Performance Marketing Specialists to drive daily account responsibilities associated with Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, and Google Analytics, and using third-party SEO tools such as Yoast, SEMRush, and Screaming Frog.

To be considered, candidates must currently reside and be eligible to work in Malaysia.

ABOUT THE RESPONSIBILITIES

Reporting to the SEO Director, the Senior SEO Specialist will be responsible for determining and executing best-in-class SEO strategies, performing SEO audits, and driving the implementation roadmap of on-page, technical & off-page optimisation to drive key business outcomes for clients.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Research and implement SEO recommendations for website architecture, content, internal linking, and other factors to improve SEO positions for target keywords and online visibility.
  • Working with the client’s website developer to implement analytics code, metadata, tracking pixels, and resolve tracking and other technical issues.
  • Ongoing SEO efforts, including keyword research, on-page optimisations, landing page optimisation, and conversion optimisation.
  • Collaborating with clients and agency partners to create, implement, QA, measure, and iterate ongoing SEO strategies.
  • Analysing and interpreting campaign performance data and reports.
  • Understanding how to maximise crawl budget, remedy site performance issues, and implement/troubleshoot structured data using various tools and technology.
  • Uncovering, understanding, and achieving client goals and business objectives through campaign customisation.
  • Recommending and executing strategies for content development in coordination with SEO goals.
  • Assisting in the development and execution of communication/content strategies via social communities in coordination with SEO goals.
  • Ensuring that all client deliverables include actionable insights and analysis of past results, performance trends, relevant industry best practices, recommendations, and next steps.
  • Managing service line client relationships, including regular phone conversations and in-person/online meetings.
  • Keeping pace with SEO, search engine, social media, and internet marketing industry trends and developments.

ABOUT YOU

  • At least 2 years of experience in SEO.
  • Strong understanding of SEO core elements including on-page and off-page tactics, optimisation of site navigation, internal linking structure, URL structure, title tags, and meta descriptions.
  • Strong understanding and knowledge of GA and GTM, HTML, CSS, and WordPress.
  • Knowledge of the use and benefits of keyword research, content & website development.
  • Knowledge of Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, and Google Analytics, and using 3rd party SEO tools such as Yoast, SEMRush, and Screaming Frog.
  • Ability to have productive business conversations with clients.
  • Passion for building long-lasting client relationships across various industries and verticals.
  • Strong analytical skills, with a data-driven approach.
  • Proactive and self-motivated.
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Ability to extract trends and insights from complex data sets.
  • Proficiencies in the use of Google Sheets/Microsoft Excel (including pivot tables).
  • Creative and thoughtful experience in presentation build-outs is a plus.
  • Understanding of business-related concepts and the interrelationship between key metrics.
  • Ability to commute daily to Mid Valley Office (post-pandemic) and is effective and comfortable to support Work-From-Home mode.
  • Excellent command of spoken and written English.

  • Thrive in a fast-paced, client-facing, detail-oriented digital advertising agency environment.
  • Mandarin is an added advantage to support the Malaysia (Simplified Chinese), Hong Kong & Taiwan (Traditional Chinese) market.
