SENIOR SALES MANAGER (Penang Based)

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Generate sales to maximize revenue and achieve agreed sales targets;
• Assist Management in increasing the Hotel / Theme Parks' profitability;
• Manage Corporate and TA accounts ensuring loyalty and continued support to our hotel and group;
• Comply with all Sales & Marketing Standard Policies and Procedures;
• Ensure the smooth running of sales & catering operations;
• Follow and enforce policies and procedures & rules and regulations to achieve the highest levels of uniformity and guest service;
• Report on competitors' activities;
• Develop and maintain contact with business generators, meetings and convention planners, visitors/Convention Bureau travel agents, tour operators, airlines, corporate accounts, Government Departments and other producers closely allied to Hotel / Theme Parks' Business;
• Keep accurate records and profiles of all existing and new accounts;
• Have thorough knowledge and understanding of the client company, its products and hospitality needs;
• Organize regular sales visits according to a predetermined plan;
• Promote the hotels / theme parks through entertaining, conducting site inspections, and presentations;
• Visit former, existing and potential clients to enter into contracts, especially corporate accounts;
• Define client requirements and ensure that guest services correspond effectively to their requests;
• Provide after-sales service and ensure all client feedback is taken seriously and discussed with the respective departments if necessary.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be able to communicate in English and Bahasa Malaysia in writing and speaking; other languages are an added advantage;
• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma, Advanced/Higher/Graduate Diploma, Bachelor's Degree, Post Graduate Diploma, Professional Degree in Business Studies/Administration/Management, Marketing or equivalent;
• Minimum 5 years working experience as Sales Personnel in Hotels / Theme Parks / Tourism Industries, Corporates / Governments' Segmentation;
• Strong ability to engage with customers and strong leadership skills;
• Able to work under pressure, resilient, multitask, independent and punctual;
• Must be familiar with basic computer skills and have experience in Social Media marketing/sales strategies;
• Ability to effectively deal with guest and associate concerns in a friendly and positive manner;
• Candidate must be able to work on shifts rotation whenever required on weekends, Public Holidays and peak seasons to cater to business/operational needs;
• Applicants will be based in BAYAN LEPAS, PENANG and will be required to frequently travel to IPOH / KUALA LUMPUR.
