About the role

As the Senior Sales Engineer, you will be responsible for overseeing the sales of parts and accessories, implementing sales strategies, and driving business growth.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Sales Management - Develop and execute sales strategy to achieve sales targets for parts and accessories, identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions, manage inventory levels to ensure the availability of high-demand parts while minimizing excess stocks.
  • Customer Relationship Management - Build and maintain strong relationships with key customers, suppliers, and partners; address and resolve customer issues and complaints in a timely manner.
  • Business Development - Identify and pursue new business opportunities to expand customer base, collaborate with the marketing team to design schemes and promotional sales events, and stay updated on potential threats and opportunities.
  • Operational Excellence - Ensure compliance with company policy, implement systems to improve productivity, and work collaboratively with different functions within the organization.
  • Product Management - Prepare the sales budget for the parts department, optimize profitability, and develop strategies to ensure competitiveness and profitability by introducing new products.
  • Establish prospects and develop professional relationships to understand customer needs and suggest products and/or services that meet those needs.
  • Aid and support business development activities for prospects within defined customer segments to support the business strategy.
  • Prospect bid opportunities, participate in the preparation of bid responses, and negotiate with potential customers.
  • Develop new customer contact leads for the sales business development team.
  • Identify prospective target accounts and present them to the sales business development team.
  • Develop personal customer relationships with prospective accounts to influence opportunities.
  • Attend trade shows as necessary to increase the visibility of the organization and potentially influence prospects.

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 4 years prior relevant experience in sales.
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering.
  • Hunter mindset and aggressive in sales.
  • Meticulous attention to detail.
  • Willingness to be based in Penang.
