Job Summary:

We are seeking a talented and experienced R&D Cosmetic Chemist to join our innovative beauty product team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for developing, testing, and improving cosmetic formulations, managing ingredient sourcing, and ensuring compliance with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP). This role offers an opportunity to contribute to the creation of cutting-edge products while ensuring safety, quality, and performance.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Formulation Development:
   Develop innovative and effective cosmetic formulations (e.g., skin care, hair care, body care).
   Assist in product formulation improvement, test and refine prototypes to achieve optimal product performance.
   Provide application and document formulation details, including percentages, processes, and stability data.
2. Production Oversight:
   Manage and supervise the production process, ensuring efficiency and adherence to GMP standards.
   Monitor and maintain production schedules to meet deadlines.
3. Material Management:
   Source and evaluate raw materials from trusted suppliers.
   Coordinate with suppliers to place orders and ensure timely delivery of high-quality ingredients.
   Maintain an up-to-date database of raw materials, specifications, and certifications.
4. GMP Compliance:
   Ensure all formulations and processes comply with GMP standards.
   Maintain proper documentation, including batch records and SOPs.
   Oversee production trials and ensure adherence to quality control protocols.
5. Research & Development:
   Stay updated on cosmetic trends, regulations, and new technologies.
   Experiment with new ingredients and techniques to improve product performance.
   Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet project deadlines.
6. Testing & Stability:
   Conduct stability, compatibility, and safety testing of formulations.
   Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to product performance and manufacturing.

Requirements:

Education:
Bachelor’s or master’s degree in chemistry, Cosmetic Science, Pharmaceutical Science, or a relevant discipline. Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor’s Degree in Science discipline (preferably major in Pure Chemistry, Analytical Chemistry, Industrial Chemistry or equivalent). Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply. Knowledge in cGMP and Halal is advantageous.

Skills:
Excellent communication, resourcefulness, and passion for laboratory work. Computer proficiency and good project management skills, interpersonal skills and ability to work as a team.
Proficiency in writing formulations with accurate documentation.
Strong knowledge of GMP regulations and industry standards.
Familiarity with sourcing raw materials and managing supplier relationships.
Analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
