SENIOR QUANTITY SURVEYOR

Job Responsibilities

1. Interpret and analyze construction plans and specifications to prepare accurate quantity requirements for materials, labor, and equipment needed for construction projects.
2. Generate report and analyses to support the project manager in making informed decisions regarding project improvements, cost-saving strategies, and efficiency enhancements.
3. Forecast and estimate the costs of various materials required for the successful execution of construction projects, considering market trends and fluctuations.
4. Oversee the issuance of work orders and diligently verify subcontractors' monthly claim payments to ensure accuracy and compliance with contractual agreements.
5. Monitor and manage amendments, changes to the scope of works, and conditions of the contract, including variation orders and extensions of time.
6. Prepare a wide range of Quantity Surveying documents, including budgetary estimates from sketch drawings, Bill of Quantities (BOQ) for all disciplines, and Cost Estimates.
7. Evaluate and prepare project progress claims, ensuring that all necessary documentation and supporting evidence are accurate and complete.
8. Attend project meetings and provide clients with updated projections of costs as required, ensuring transparency and clear communication.
9. Any other duties as assigned by superiors.

Job Requirements

1. Bachelor's degree in quantity surveying, engineering, management, or similar.
2. At least 4 years of working experience in the related field.
3. Experienced in tendering building work (pre & post).
4. Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
5. Sound knowledge of construction.
6. Excellent negotiating and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to organize, plan, and strategize.
