Senior Quality Assurance Engineer (Manufacturing)

Our Client:

We are partnering with a US based MNC that specializes in manufacturing of Porous Plastic products. The company is expanding their Malaysia operations and looking for a Senior Quality Assurance Engineer as part of their strategic growth.

Responsibility:

1. Lead and execute process validation and capability assessments.
2. Ensure compliance with QMS standards and conduct software validation as required.
3. Spearhead quality and manufacturing initiatives, employing DMAIC, Lean, APQP, SPC, and other methodologies to drive and sustain process improvements.
4. Conduct Measurement System Analyses (MSA) to validate measurement processes.
5. Collaborate with Manufacturing, Engineering, and Quality departments to develop and implement new processes and technologies.
6. Lead efforts for containment, root cause analysis, corrective actions, and timely resolution of customer complaints.
7. Facilitate risk analysis sessions, using tools such as FMEA, Fault Tree Analysis, etc., to assess and improve current and future processes.
8. Direct or participate in cross-functional teams focusing on root cause investigations for both internal and external non-conformities using methodologies like 5 Whys, Fishbone diagrams, and other problem-solving techniques.

Requirements:

1. A degree in Industrial Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science, or a related discipline is preferred.
2. Certifications in quality management (e.g., ASQ, SPC, Lean, Six Sigma) will be considered a strong advantage.
3. 2 to 4 years of experience in a Quality Assurance role.
4. Experience working in environments subject to ISO 9001:2015 QMS, GMP, and industries such as Automotive and Medical products will be advantageous.
5. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently.
6. Familiarity with quality tools such as SPC, FMEA, MSA, Root Cause Analysis, and statistical analysis methods.
