Senior Purchasing Executive

Job Title: Purchasing Executive

Department: Purchasing, Procurement & Inventory (Manufacturing, Transport & Logistics)

Employment Type: Full time

Job Responsibilities:

• Acquisitions are completed in a fair and equitable manner.
• Procurement practices and processes are in compliance with company policy, applicable government legislation, and any laws and regulations governing the purchase.
• Managing the competitive bidding process and sourcing to expedite orders.
• Develop, review, and update procurement processes and documentation.
• Develop and manage supplier relationships and price negotiations.
• Manage and report on procurement expenditures.
• Prepare delivery orders and invoices with purchase orders for payment purposes.
• Liaise with suppliers regarding product price and quality issues.
• Liaise with other departments, particularly accounting, manufacturing, and stores.
• Liaise with overseas suppliers.
• Track the status of urgent orders.

Job Requirements:

• Candidate must possess at least a Diploma/Degree in Accounting or an associate's degree in procurement or a related field.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in Procurement or a related field is required.
• Specialization in Purchasing/Inventory/Building Material or equivalent is an advantage.
• Experience with procurement tools.
• Independent, resourceful, able to work under pressure, and meet deadlines.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Excellent skills in Microsoft Excel.
• Possess a good attitude, analytical mindset, and meticulousness.
• Good command of Bahasa Malaysia and English (spoken and written).
