The Senior Project Coordinator is responsible for supporting the purchasing team and coordinating supply chain projects to ensure smooth operations and efficiency. This role involves overseeing project timelines, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and optimizing supply chain processes to meet business objectives. The ideal candidate will drive operational excellence, mitigate risks, and enhance supply chain performance while ensuring compliance with industry regulations and company policies.

Key Responsibilities:

Project Planning & Coordination

  1. Assist the purchasing team with procurement-related tasks, ensuring timely acquisition of materials and services.
  2. Develop and implement project plans, ensuring timely execution of supply chain initiatives.
  3. Coordinate with internal teams in Malaysia (purchasing, logistics, operations) and external vendors in China to maintain smooth workflows.
  4. Identify potential risks and develop contingency plans to minimize disruptions.
  5. Monitor project progress, track milestones, and provide regular updates to stakeholders.

Stakeholder & Vendor Management

  1. Serve as the primary liaison between vendors and internal departments to ensure alignment.
  2. Work closely with vendors to resolve issues and ensure compliance with requirements.
  3. Communicate project status updates, challenges, and solutions to key stakeholders.
  4. Foster strong relationships with stakeholders to drive efficiency and continuous improvement.

Supply Chain Optimization

  1. Monitor and enhance supply chain efficiency to reduce costs while maintaining high-quality standards.
  2. Develop and implement best practices for inventory management, purchasing, and logistics coordination.
  3. Streamline processes, improve productivity, and recommend actions to enhance efficiency.

Compliance & Documentation

  1. Ensure all supply chain activities comply with regulatory requirements and company policies.
  2. Maintain accurate project documentation, including licensing agreements, financial records, meeting minutes, and project status reports.
  3. Conduct quality checks to ensure all products meet operational and legal standards.

Qualifications:

  1. Bachelor's degree in Business Management or a related field is preferred.
  2. Minimum 3 years of experience in supply chain management, project management, project coordination, procurement, or a related role.
  3. Strong knowledge of procurement, inventory management, and transportation logistics.
  4. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment.
  5. Fluent in Chinese & English in both written and verbal communication.
  6. Proficiency in MS Office (PowerPoint, Excel, Word) and excellent for data analysis and record-keeping.
