Control and monitor project total expenditure including verifying and checking of invoices and claims from suppliers, vendors, and subcontractors to ensure that all project expenditures are captured and properly recorded.
Provide planning and cost controlling support for all projects which includes variation reporting, monitoring of milestone progress, and preparation of customer billing processes.
Perform and manage project activity scheduling and monitoring.
Ensure effective project implementation and utilize productive reports from the existing system to monitor the status of all purchases, invoicing, and delivery up to the closure of the project.
Prepare fortnightly vessel movement report for monitoring of the vessel and register all downtime, consumptions, and vessel-related issues promptly to the project manager and management.
Coordinate and work with the project management team to resolve project issues to ensure the delivery/completion of the project work.
Attend project meetings and discussions with the project teams and external clients (if required).
Perform project costing related reporting to the team and management’s review on a monthly basis to ensure that expenditures are kept within the project budget.
Provide cost control and planning advice to the internal project team as and when required.
Set up and manage support functions covering planning, tracking, reporting, quality management, and internal communication.
Produce consolidated reporting to the Project/credit control and finance team, including milestone summary, key issues, risks, benefits, and summary of costs incurred.
Establish standards, tools, and procedures for use on the project, including Issue, Risk, Change, and Information Management.
Review project activities for compliance with procedures and standards.
Manage the support and provision of project tools and equipment.
Manage data security, software, and license control.
Perform any other function and tasks which may be assigned from time to time.
Job Requirements
Preferably a university graduate in any Mechanical & Electrical Engineering field or any other field.
Minimum 8 - 10 years of working experience in a similar industry or in the construction industry.
Understanding of business strategy and products is essential.
Excellent command of spoken and written English and Bahasa Malaysia.
Knowledge of elevator operation and service management is essential.
Good interpersonal ability required.
