Responsibilities:

• Master and supervise the manufacturing area of process control, pouring, mixing, and packaging.
• Ensure proper workforce planning and fully utilize production capacity to meet order demand.
• Manage the production area to achieve the highest level of safety, quality, and productivity, complying with ISO 22000 and production specifications.
• Lead the production team to achieve all production KPIs and drive continuous improvement.
• Supervise production activities to produce quality products within specifications and timelines. Work actively with the Quality team to drive quality improvement.
• Ensure adherence to safety and health procedures, including wearing appropriate PPE at all times.
• Develop the entire production team, line leaders, and operators. Manage subordinates’ performance according to expectations.
• Ensure overall production compliance with ISO, GMP, and other regulatory requirements.
• Ensure compliance with production SOPs.
• Ensure all production personnel are trained with the right competencies to perform their jobs.
• Manage subordinates’ attendance, tardiness, turnover rate, and overtime.
• Ensure material availability to facilitate smooth manufacturing activities. Work closely with the warehouse on material requirements, issuance, and return procedures to avoid production delays.
• Review audit findings and ensure all non-conformance issues and CAPA are handled promptly.
• Arrange work schedules and resource planning for all production activities.
• Meet production planning and resolve crises immediately to avoid unnecessary delays.
• Maintain 5S and housekeeping in the production area and ensure compliance with hygiene and cleanliness requirements.
• Lead safety and quality investigations in production and compile reports after investigations.
• Actively contribute to safety observations and related committees.
• Monitor production yield and investigate root causes if yield is out of specification.
• Analyze manpower utilization, space requirements, workflow, material flow, and production layout design for efficiency.
• Provide information for management decisions regarding estimated production times, manpower requirements, and related costs.
• Collaborate with other departments to achieve overall company objectives.
• Undertake job-related tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Minimum Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
• Minimum 5 years of hands-on working experience in a production environment, with at least 3 years in supervisory positions in relevant fields (aquaculture, animal nutrition, agriculture, chemical, food processing, medical devices, pharmaceutical).
• Fast learner with hands-on experience in process control.
• Experience in initiating and leading improvement/Kaizen projects.
• Able to communicate in English & Bahasa Malaysia; proficiency in Mandarin is an advantage.
• Experience in effective communication with expatriates and foreign workers.
• Knowledge of MS Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with ERP and/or SAP is an advantage.
• Demonstrated leadership and people management skills.
• Strong communication and performance management skills.
• Knowledge and experience related to lab testing, ISO22000, HACCP, or GMP is an advantage.
• Willingness to work in a hot environment, extra hours, and shift rotations.
• Willingness to work on Public Holidays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
