Assist and support the Assistant Procurement Manager or Procurement Manager in sourcing suppliers and contractors, negotiating optimal costs to maximize company margins.
Monitor internal sales and production to proactively plan purchases, including raw materials, equipment, machinery, and maintenance parts.
Collaborate with multiple vendors, assessing and selecting the best options based on factors such as price, quality, delivery speed, and other relevant criteria.
Analyze pricing trends and market demands to determine the best timing and cost-effective purchasing decisions.
Work closely with the logistics team to ensure accurate and timely purchase order conversion for transporters and shipping agents.
Ensure all suppliers and service providers meet the company's product specifications, quality, and reliability standards.
Conduct annual supplier performance evaluations.
Address and resolve any supplier-related issues concerning logistics, product specifications, and quality.
Coordinate with the Finance Department to forecast purchasing cash flow requirements.
Compile monthly purchasing and shipment reports for management.
Participate in ISO 9001 audits.
Perform any other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the superior.
Job Requirements:
Minimum Degree in Purchasing Management, Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 5 years experience in purchasing activities, preferably in a manufacturing or industrial environment.
Strong negotiation skills with a proven track record of cost savings and vendor management.
Proficiency in procurement software and advanced Excel skills for data analysis and reporting.
Knowledge of ISO 9001 standards and experience in audit participation is an added advantage.
Excellent analytical skills to assess market trends, pricing fluctuations, and supplier performance.
Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, including Logistics, Finance, and Production.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with suppliers and stakeholders.
